Cambodia to host the 32nd Southeast Asian Games

Cambodia was set to host the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh from May 5th to 17th. More than 5,000 athletes from 11 Southeast Asian countries gathered to compete in 589 events across 38 sports, including soccer, gymnastics, golf, esports, and aquatics. The multi-sport event, which was one of the world’s most important sporting occasions, took place in the specifically constructed Morodok Techo National Stadium located in Khan Chroy Changvar, near the capital city of Phnom Penh.

H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, the Minister of Tourism, President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, and President of the Southeast Asian Games Federation Council, expressed his excitement and welcomed athletes, coaches, officials, and international guests to Cambodia. The WorldBridge Sports Village, a large-scale sports village project in Southeast Asia, developed by Cambodian businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Rithy Sear, provided world-class living and training facilities for athletes and coaches, ensuring they were well-rested and could maintain their exercise and healthy-eating routines during the SEA Games. Sports fans across the world who were interested in watching these games live were encouraged to visit this beautiful land as well, and there were many accommodation options in hotels in Siem Reap Cambodia such as FCC Angkor by Avani for tourists.
