Care for Cancer – 2016 Fun Run in Bangkok

An event that was not only fun, but also gave participants a chance to raise money for a worthy cause, the annual Care for Cancer Fun Run took place recently in Bangkok. Organised by Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada and the Thai Red Cross Society, this popular event was held on 6th February at the well known Lumpini Park. When it comes to exciting things to do, Bangkok offers such fun runs that can be enjoyed by the entire family. This year’s race looked to raise funds for Chulalongkorn Hospital’s, Genetic Cancer Research Centre and also gave those in attendance as well as participants a chance to share stories regarding the way in which cancer had changed and touched their lives. The Care for Cancer Fun Run featured a 10 km and a 5 km long race with the biggest group that participated in the event being awarded the Queen’s trophy, while individual race winners also received prizes.
