Thailand’s tourism industry is setting ambitious goals for 2024. In a bid to attract 40 million international visitors and generate 3.5 trillion baht in total tourism revenue, the Tourism Ministry planned a strategic marketing push. This includes discussions with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to explore stimulating charter flight traffic from key markets like China, South Korea, Russia, and Europe.
The Ministry and TAT met on February 19th, to solidify a plan for attracting these charter flights from both nearby and more distant tourist hubs. This initiative aimed to boost overall tourism numbers and exceed even the TAT’s established targets. Popular tourist hotspots in Thailand, especially Bangkok will heavily benefit from these boosts, especially as tourists strive to stay at a hotel near Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok the likes of Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok.
