Hua Hin: Chatchai Market Gets a Modern Makeover – Where Tradition Meets Modernity

Hua Hin Municipality revealed plans to transform the iconic Chatchai Market into a modern shopping haven. Unveiled in January, the revamp aims to revolutionise the market experience with a focus on organisation and convenience, making it a delightful stop for those seeking souvenirs or local treats during their stay at Hua Hin beach hotels the likes of Avani+ Hua Hin Resort. The market will boast 44 designated stalls offering food, souvenirs, and local products. Separate restrooms, dishwashing areas, and designated dining areas will enhance the experience for both vendors and visitors. Upgraded electricals and CCTV surveillance will ensure safety and security.

Traffic flow will also be improved with designated parking on Dechanuchit Road, adhering to the 2023 parking regulation ordinance. Vendors are reminded to maintain clean and orderly stalls for a seamless shopping experience. This renovation marks a pivotal moment in the rejuvenation of Hua Hin, alongside the recently inaugurated dual-track train line and the proposed “Man Fighting Shark” sculpture.
