Considered one of the liveliest festivals in Hong Kong, the Cheung Chau Bun Festival is set in the island of Cheung Chau Island, which is a short ferry ride from the city. The festival is scheduled to occur from 9th to 13th May 2019, and if you happen to be in the country during the time, book any one of the budget hotels in Kowloon, Hong Kong to witness this festival.

Once you get to the destination from Silka West Kowloon, you’re bound to witness a bun festival parade, children dressed as mythological deities and bun contests. Time.com deemed this as one of the ‘Top 10 Quirky Local Festivals’.
