A celebration of a highly popular member of the “berry” family, the annual Chiang Mai Strawberry Fair recently drew to a close. The event took place from 11th to 14th February, 2016 and was held in Samoeng, a district that is reputed for its production of top quality strawberries. The district of Samoeng is around an hour away from Chiang Mai making it amongst the key events that one can enjoy while at this popular Thai destination. The 15th edition of the Chiang Mai Strawberry Fair featured the customary strawberry contest along with the Miss Strawberry Beauty Contest, a Strawberry & Agricultural Exhibition and contests for singing and dancing. A unique feature was the fact that couples who were planning to tie the knot could request for a wedding ceremony at the venue with a special strawberry theme!
