China Gears Up for More International Travel – Domestic Tourism Also Key

Due to its vaccination drives as well as those of other countries, China is preparing for more international travel; this includes increased numbers of Chinese flying to other destinations as well as more arrivals by foreign travellers into the country. China has already opened its borders with over 30 countries from Europe and several nations from Asia. As highlighted at the Arabian Travel Market in May this year, 105 airlines which also included 19 Chinese carriers were flying to a total of 55 different nations at that time.

In the meantime, the country has also been promoting domestic tourism, be it for sightseeing or shopping, which has been vital in uplifting the hospitality industry. Additionally, to promote safe travel, China has strict health measures in place including at popular travel destinations such as Xi’an; hotels here the likes of Grand Park Xian have adopted stringent sanitisation and cleanliness protocols ensuring the safety of guests and staff alike.
