Held at the China National Convention Centre in the Chinese capital Beijing the China International Gallery Exposition took place from the 2nd to the 4th of September with the participation of who’s who in the country’s artistic sphere. Highlighting the role that art plays in everyday life the exhibit showcased every form of creative expression imaginable in an intriguing setup which included everything from paintings, digital art and textile fashion to handicrafts and photography. The event attracted both local art lovers and travelling art connoisseurs based in Beijing serviced apartments the likes of the newly opened Ascott Beijing and others near the China National Convention Centre. Other displays at the China International Gallery Exposition included mixed media works of art, net arts, and videos. This year’s addition of the event not only included the latest works of well-known contemporary Chinese artists but also included solo shows by emerging young artists in Asia with the ground floor dedicated to their contributions.
