Huang Yuequn, a Chinese businessman based in Xiamen, expressed his interest in investing in Laos, citing lower labour and land costs, as well as abundant hydropower resources. He emphasized the crucial factor for him is the current health and stability of China-Laos relations. Huang looks forward to enhanced access to transportation infrastructure in Laos and streamlined customs clearance processes, facilitating the seamless movement of China’s advanced management and technical personnel to Laos.
