Following China’s easing of travel restrictions this year, the country has opened to tourists as well. This has led to a surge in interest among travellers including those in the Philippines wanting to visit China once more. This was highlighted on the China Global Television Network (CGTN) website (https://www.cgtn.com/) on 17th March 2023; it further revealed that Filipino tour companies are in the process of organising trips with people making many inquiries about tour packages and requirements for tourist visas.
China’s reopening to travellers offers a vital boost to the tourism industry which is looking to get back on track this year.
