CINEC and Trent University Launched New 2+2 Pathway in Logistics Education
A cross-border academic partnership expanding global study opportunities for Sri Lankan students
Sri Lanka’s transnational education landscape expanded last year as CINEC Campus Sri Lanka entered into an academic partnership with Canada’s Trent University to introduce a 2+2 transfer pathway in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The collaboration enabled students to complete the initial phase of their undergraduate studies locally before progressing to Canada to finish their degree.
Under the arrangement, students studied core logistics and supply-chain modules in Sri Lanka during the first two years, before transferring to Trent University in Ontario to complete the remaining years of an honours programme. The pathway was designed to provide international exposure while managing overall education costs.

The initiative was built on CINEC’s long-standing role in logistics, maritime studies, and technical education, including disciplines such as Marine Engineering in Sri Lanka. Trent University, recognised for undergraduate-focused learning and applied education, offered students access to Canada’s major logistics and business networks, supporting stronger academic and career outcomes.
