Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, a prominent name in Sri Lanka’s hospitality sector, appointed AVIAREPS India as its public relations representative to boost brand presence across the Indian market. The move came amid growing outbound travel from India, with the partnership aiming to drive awareness through strategic communications and media engagement. This followed the opening of Cinnamon Life – City of Dreams, a $1.3 billion integrated resort featuring South Asia’s largest gaming space, expansive MICE facilities, and a soon-to-open shopping mall.
The group’s expansion strategy was further underscored by the launch of Kandy Myst by Cinnamon. As part of the broader portfolio, hotels in Kandy, Sri Lanka, the likes of Cinnamon Citadel Kandy, were positioned to benefit from increased visibility among luxury and experiential travellers in India. The collaboration also aligned with Sri Lanka’s ambitious goal of drawing 2.5 million tourists by 2025.
