Cinnamon’s City Hotels Bag 21 Golds at Chefs Guild Culinary Art 2015 – A Momentous Achievement

Showcasing the immense local culinary talent it possesses, the city hotels sector of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts garnered a total of 21 gold medals at the Chefs Guild Culinary Art 2015. Amongst the most popular Sri Lanka hotels in the commercial capital Colombo, these city properties are made up of Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, Cinnamon Grand Colombo and Cinnamon Red all of which combined to win 24 silvers and 37 bronzes as well. This three day competition held at the BMICH from 24th to 26th July, featured more than 2,500 participants from around the country vying for top honours in a variety of categories. Participants from Cinnamon Grand won the most amount of golds for the brand, winning a total of 15 medals including the Gold Excellence Award for Artistic Pastry Showpiece awarded to W.D.S. Vijitha Kumara. Other notable winners included Cinnamon Lakeside’s Chamila Nadeera Gajasinghe who won Gold Excellence for Dress the Cake (Live).
