Clean drinking water facilities in Beruwala – One of the most thoughtful development projects!

While addressing a speech at the inauguration ceremony at of a water tank that has been recently constructed in beruwala, The minister of health Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said that the government has spent over Rs 237 million for the construction of the Payagala to Beruwala water supply system and a sum of 30 billion has been allotted by the government to supply water to the surrounding areas as well. it is also worth noting that he was addressing at an inauguration ceremony of a water tank that was a part of the programme. The tank was constructed at a cost of Rs 170 million, which is a portion of the fund provided by the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA). The new water supply system will not only benefit the locals, but also some of the Sri Lanka beach hotels located in the region the likes of Cinnamon Bey Beruwala and it is considered as one of the most thoughtful projects that has been undertaken by the government in the recent years.
