As covered by the online edition of The Island newspaper on 22nd August 2021, Sri Lanka was showcased on CNN Travel which was a notable boost for the country’s ongoing promotional campaigns. This travel segment was hosted by Henry Golding, lead male actor of the popular film “Crazy Rich Asians” and the recently released “Snake Eyes”. This isn’t the first time Sri Lanka was featured on CNN Travel and the exposure offers a wider reach in important Asian source markets including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
The country is currently getting tourism back on track and it will be hoped such international coverage will attract more travellers to come and enjoy the exciting things to do in Sri Lanka. This island nation also offers non-restrictive quarantine in a secure bio bubble at “Safe & Secure Level 1” hotels; such properties, of leading hospitality brands like Heritance Hotels & Resorts, have strict health and disinfection measures in place so travellers can enjoy safe stays too.
