The local COBRA rugby team emerged as cup champions in the recently held COBRA 10s Rugby Tournament in Malaysia. They were victorious in the finals defeating another local team, the RMAF Blackhawks, 15 to 12. This 10-a-side rugby tournament was held from 09th to 10th November 2019 at the Petaling Jaya Stadium which is accessible from hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia including properties the likes of Travelodge City Centre. Apart from some action-packed rugby, the event also featured fun activities, games and food which made it a family draw as well.
Both local both and international teams participated in the COBRA 10s including those fromAustralia, New Zealand, South Africa and Indonesia. The bowl finals saw the NS Silverbacks from Sydney defeat the West Coast Sharks from Cape Town (38 – 0), while the plate finals was won by the Auckland Varsity Vipers who defeated local team, Polis Bersatu (29 – 0).
