The Colombo International Shopping Festival 2017 recently drew to a close in Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, offering some amazing discounts to consumers. The first of its kind to be held in the country, this shopping festival spanned 46 days, beginning from 1st October and running up to 15th November. All participating stores and shops offered exclusive bargains during this period covering a wide range of categories be it fashion, electronics, health and beauty, food or entertainment. The local consumer demand for convenient and discounted shopping options is also mirrored in the growing popularity of online shopping in Sri Lanka with various sites such as Clicknshop offering deals on a variety of items throughout the year. Apart from store discounts, the Colombo International Shopping Festival also featured a special three-day event at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre which brought a diverse number of retailers all under one roof.
