COVID-19 Restrictions Eased in Thailand – Pattaya Gets Back on Track

Certain COVID-19 restrictions imposed in Thailand last December were eased in January 2022 which saw popular destinations like Pattaya getting ready for increased domestic and foreign arrivals. The tourism industry received an added boost when on 1st February 2022, the Test & Go programme that offers quarantine-free entry for fully vaccinated tourists was restarted. In addition to this scheme, Pattaya was amongst the places where non-vaccinated travellers could find Alternative Quarantine (AQ) accommodation too.

Those looking to holiday at this coastal locale should be mindful that as part of the entry requirements, one should stay at an SHA Extra+ certified resort in Pattaya, Thailand. Such properties include the likes of Avani Pattaya Resort that have enhanced health and hygiene protocols in place and offer both Test & Go and Alternative Quarantine packages ensuring safe stays for tourists. It will be hoped that the reopening of international borders will lead to increased visitors in the months to come.
