COVID-19 Restrictions Lifted in Oman for Vaccinated Travellers – A Much Welcomed Move

In August this year, Oman did away with its arrival ban on 18 nations for travellers who had received two full doses of a COVID-19 vaccination; as part of this updated measure, the last dose of the vaccine should have been administered at least 14 days before arrival. This was a welcome announcement especially for expatriates and employees who were in countries such as Bangladesh and India and were previously unable to return.

While the list of nations prohibited entry was terminated, beginning from 1st September 2021, Oman also reopened to fully vaccinated travellers; passengers with a negative result of a PCR test undertaken before they left were exempt from quarantine too.
