Cruise Industry Looks Ahead – Preparing For Post COVID-19 Travel

In a recent online article published by CNN, the future of the cruise industry was brought into the spotlight in terms of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. It highlighted that many cruise operators the world over have had to face losses due to cruises being halted or cancelled; in America, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a “No Sail Order” as well.

However, as reported, there are signs that the industry will pick-up; some travellers are already showing an interest and are booking for future cruises. In light of this, many cruise ship owners are stepping up their health and sanitation protocols as well. It should be noted that such steps are not just being followed by global cruise liners. For example, in Vietnam, those offering Halong Bay cruise options the likes of Bhaya Cruises have also put into place stringent measures on its vessels for prevention and detection of the virus.
