Da Nang Records Strong New Year Tourism Surge, Outpacing Vietnam’s Major Cities

Rising arrivals and robust revenues signal Da Nang’s growing tourism momentum

Da Nang has strengthened its position as one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing travel hubs after welcoming around 345,000 international visitors during the recent New Year holiday period. The figure significantly exceeded arrivals recorded in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, underscoring the city’s expanding global appeal. Tourism earnings during the four-day break reached an estimated VND2.4 trillion, reflecting increased visitor spending across accommodation, food, transport, and leisure sectors.

Industry observers attribute the surge to favourable weather, a packed calendar of festive events, and continued improvements in infrastructure and connectivity. Luxury hotels across the city reported near-capacity occupancy, highlighting rising demand for premium stays, including properties such as Fusion Resort & Villas Da Nang.

With beaches, cultural attractions, and easy access to the central coast, Da Nang is increasingly viewed as a balanced destination for both city exploration and relaxation, appealing to travellers seeking a refined wellness retreat in Vietnam alongside vibrant urban experiences.
