A faith-led journey meets structured travel planning for the New Year

The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a New Year-focused international travel programme, unveiling a six-day Sri Lanka Ramayana tour scheduled from January 11 to 16, 2026. Departing from Chandigarh with onward travel via Delhi, the package is designed to offer a structured exploration of destinations linked to the Ramayana, including Colombo, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya.

According to IRCTC, the itinerary combines visits to key religious landmarks with guided sightseeing, accommodation, meals, and return air travel. The programme is positioned for travellers seeking cultural depth at the start of the year, with the island continuing to attract interest for heritage-led experiences such as Yoga and Meditation in Sri Lanka.
