The dates for the Chinese New Year has been confirmed! According to the local zodiac, the Year of the Dog will fall on February 16th 2018. Dating back to over 4,000 years in rich history, the new year is often referred to as the Spring Festival and is the most celebrated event for the Chinese population. The new year is also a good time for family reunions and gathering of friends and loved ones as residents get the longest public holiday of the year. Students usually get a month’s leave from school, while most employees get a minimum of 7 days leave. The new year celebrations usually last for 15 days from the 1st to the 15th of the 1st lunar month.

This makes it a great time to travel to the country as tourists who wish to stay at the more popular luxury hotels in Asia, some of which are part of Park Hotel Group, have a number of options to choose from.
