MMA fans in Australia are in for a treat as the Diamondback Fighting Championship is set to launch a much anticipated MMA showcase at the Adelaide Oval in late October. Kicking off with a bang the first ever caged gladiatorial contest in the Oval will be accessible to visitors based in iStay Precinct and other resorts ranked among the top Adelaide accommodation CBD has to offer.
The brainchild of Diamondback Fighting Championship manager and owner Craig Icke, the event which will first air on October 30th from the William Magarey Room will allow mixed martial arts the status as a sporting category no less compelling than an AFL tournament or an A League Soccer playoff. With aims of being the main MMA showcase in all of Australia, the southern Australian Diamondback Fighting Championship has selected the iconic oval to upgrade the public’s view of the caged combat contest.
