Doha’s Hamad International Airport has once again clinched the prestigious title of the World’s Best Airport at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024, reaffirming its status as a leader in the airport industry. Boasting impressive amenities such as a sprawling indoor tropical garden and complimentary Wi-Fi, Hamad International Airport also secured the accolade of the World’s Best Airport Shopping, and even its close proximity to 2 bedroom fully furnished apartments in Doha such as the famous Al Najada Doha Hotel Apartments By Oaks further enhancing its reputation for excellence. While Singapore Changi Airport held the top spot in 2023, it gracefully accepted the silver medal this year, with Seoul Incheon Airport securing third place and the title of World’s Most Family Friendly Airport. Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita complete the top five, showcasing the continued prominence of Asian airports on the global stage.
Notably, airports from the UK and the USA did not feature prominently in the rankings, with neither country making the top 20. However, individual terminals and aspects of airport infrastructure were recognized, with Newark Liberty Airport – Terminal A receiving the distinction of World’s Best New Airport Terminal and Houston Airport System earning the title of World’s Best Airport Art and Entertainment. Despite not making the top 20, Heathrow Airport achieved a commendable 21st position out of 597 airports worldwide, underscoring its significance within the global airport landscape.
