Innovation, Culture, and Sustainability in Global Tourism

Dubai’s Museum of the Future (MOTF), an initiative by the Dubai Future Foundation, made a significant impact at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, from 7 to 11 March 2025. This participation highlighted Dubai’s role as a leader in technological and cultural advancements, offering an immersive glimpse into the future of travel.

Through a pop-up museum, panel discussions, and interactive exhibits, the event connected global travellers and industry leaders, exploring space tourism, AI-driven hospitality, and sustainable travel. The experience also featured a cultural exchange, with Emirati cuisine and digital art reflecting Dubai’s rich heritage.

Dubai’s presence at SXSW reinforced its status as a global hub for business and tourism, aligning with trends shaping modern travel. As the city continues to evolve, the top 5-star hotels in Dubai — such as the elegant Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel Dubai — played a key role in this transformation, offering luxury within a futuristic landscape.
