Easter Weekend and Turks and Caicos Kite Flying Competition 2015

The annual Turks and Caicos Kite Flying Competition took place this year from 3rd to 6th April, giving participants of all ages a chance to showcase their kite making and flying skills. The event is traditionally held during the Easter weekend at several locations and those planning to attend next year’s competition and in search of luxury resorts in the Caribbean from which to visit these sites can consider staying at Parrot Cay by COMO.

An event that is put together by the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourist Board, this kite flying competition is generally hosted at a variety of locales that include Bight Beach Children’s Park (Providenciales), Governors Beach (Grand Turk), Regatta Village (South Caicos) and Horse Stable Beach (North Caicos). Trophies and awards were handed out for a number of categories ranging from most artistic kite to smallest kite. The Turks and Caicos Kite Flying Competition also featured many children’s activities and entertainment that have made it such a popular family event over the years.
