Eco Tourism in Tioman Island – A new wave of environmentally friendly tourism

Malaysia is a country that has long subscribed to eco-tourism, including environmentally conscious travel and undisturbed natural areas that allow you to connect with nature. Next time you visit a Tioman business hotel, the likes of Berjaya Tioman Resort, keep in mind that eco-tourism is a large part of this island.

Eco-touristic activities promote conservation and in Tioman, the focus is mainly sea-based. However, as of late, the hills of Tioman are also quickly gaining a reputation as an eco-tourism hot spot. The jungle flora and fauna of Tioman is so distinct that it’s been featured on international media. Together with the sea surrounding Tioman, the rainforest is the most biologically diverse island in the South China Sea.
