Ecofest 2021 Held in Gladstone – A Celebration of World Environment Day

Billed as the largest environmental awareness event in Central Queensland, Ecofest 2021 took place in Gladstone, Australia. It was held on 6th June (Sunday) 2021 at the Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens within easy reach of hotels Gladstone, QLD has to offer in the heart of its city. Such properties including Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel provided an ideal base for those visiting from out of state to attend this free event which offered fun for the whole family.

To coincide with and celebrate World Environment Day, Ecofest is generally held on the first Sunday in June; the theme this year, was “Ecosystem Restoration” on which there were many engaging talks and activities. At the event, there was also a range of educational workshops on sustainability and gardening, eco-market stalls, live music, food trucks and an appearance by Kate Nelson, dubbed the “Plastic Free Mermaid”.
