Haitham Mohammed Al Ghassani, the Director-General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, explained that to trigger the winter tourism season, a series of programs, events, and festivals are being organized during the first half of this year in various governorates of Oman.
Some of these events began at the start of the year, for example, the Desert Adventures Festival in North Al Sharqiyah, the Empty Quarter Festival, and the Iron Man event. Al Ghassani further added that other activities will be organized in the rest of the governorates in the coming period, including Musandam and Al-Buraimi. He emphasized that these events would help create a tourist movement into hotels in Muscat including properties like Avani Muscat Hotel.
