At the Arabian Travel Market held in Dubai in May this year, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Emirates and Zambia to boost tourism in this southern African nation. With this collaboration, both parties will look at ways in which the global network of Emirates can be used to increase visitor numbers to Zambia. Marketing and advertising campaigns as well as special initiatives are expected to be used to promote various experiences in this destination to attract travellers.
In another development, Zambia and neighbouring Zimbabwe also joined together to maximise tourism earnings from Victoria Falls, a famed attraction that is shared between the two countries. This was highlighted on The Chronicle news website on 19th June 2023 which went on to reveal that conservation efforts at the falls to ensure sustainability were also being focused on. This stunning natural spectacle continues to attract travellers the world over, looking to take in the majestic sight of Victoria Falls; hotels nearby which offer unlimited access to this site such as Avani Victoria Falls Resort provide an ideal opportunity to enjoy the many other highlights of Zambia too.
