As per the most recent travel updates posted on ThaiEmbassy.com in August 2022, the Thailand Pass is no longer a mandatory requirement for travellers that enter the Land of Smiles. These updates which took effect from the 1st of July 2022 arrived as a positive ring for lodgings like Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre as tourists could freely travel to their dream destination at a hotel in Khon Kaen or any other region in the country.
Travellers can now enter Thailand by simply presenting their proof of vaccination; a hard copy or a digital copy would suffice. The fully vaccinated status of a traveller is determined if both doses have been obtained; however, a booster dose is not required. In the absence of a fully vaccinated certificate, tourists may still present a negative PCR test report on arrival to enter the country.
