Laos Expecting More Visitors This Year – Target Set at 900,000

The Laos government is making plans to increase tourist arrivals to the country, setting their target at 900,000 this year. A statistical report on tourism mentions this number will generate close to USD 218 million, a significant increase in income since the pandemic. The tourist count in June was 171,800, and the numbers keep growing as the country is becoming a popular tourist attraction.

Laos-China railway, Luang Prabang world heritage site, and Vangvieng are the most iconic attractions in Laos to date. Experiencing a luxury Mekong River cruise is another reason most tourists visit Laos, as the riverside beauty is magnificent. Mekong Kingdoms provide the most unique and unforgettable cruise down the river while treating the guests to authentic Laos cuisine every step of the way.
