Following the lowering restrictions on COVID-19, travellers planning to visit a Phi Phi island resort or any other island in Thailand can now travel hassle-free. As posted on the United Kingdom’s Government website, the travel advisory on Thailand no longer requires visitors to quarantine themselves once reaching the country for their vacations at resorts like SAii Phi Phi Island Village. However, travellers are required to be fully vaccinated, at least 14 days prior to arrival, in order to avoid the RT-PCR tests before and upon arrival.
Tourists who are not fully vaccinated are offered the choice of travelling under the Alternative Quarantine scheme. This requires travellers to have obtained an RT-PCR test no more than 72 hours before departure from their original country. If this condition is fulfilled, visitors will be exempted from quarantine. All these updates were in effect since the 1st of May 2022.
