Entry Rules for Tourists Eased in Thailand – Quarantine-Free Holidays Still on Offer

From 1st March this year, Thailand updated its entry requirement policy and rules for international travellers and made it easier for them to visit. Accordingly, after having submitted to an RT-PCR test on day one, they no longer must do another RT-PCR test on day five; instead, they must now do a self-test using an antigen test kit and upload the result via the MorChana smartphone application. Additional good news came in the form of the minimum medical insurance coverage for tourists being reduced from $50,000 to $20,000.

Looking to get the tourism industry back on track, the country continues to offer quarantine-free holidays to fully vaccinated travellers who can easily explore popular destinations including the capital. For holidays or corporate trips here, convenient accommodation can be found at a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand located in the new Central Business District of Rama 9; options include the SHA Plus+ certified Maitria Hotel Rama 9 which offer safe stays with strict sanitisation and hygiene measures in place.
