Events in Abu Dhabi Will No Longer Pay Tourism Tax

In its attempt to become an emirate focused on business and creating an environment comfortable for local and international businesses to thrive in Abu Dhabi, the emirate takes special measures. As a popular place in the UAE, the emirate is looking to attract more events. Any resort in Oman the likes of Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar also offers great event spaces and services for event organisers.

Until recently, event organisers were charged 10% tax on each ticket sold for their events. The Department of Culture and Tourism — Abu Dhabi stated that this fee has now been removed. However, event organisers will have to register for an event license and follow the regulations. Revenue from the event should also be revealed with financial statements by auditors assigned for the event by The Department of Culture and Tourism.
