The islanders in the Maldives have decorated the island with gingerbread houses, Christmas trees, and twinkling lights and the season has come to a start. The festivities this year will include tree-lighting ceremonies, surfing with Santa, fishing, henna painting, and Christmas dinner. There will be traditional and international cuisines with Christmas cocktails and mocktails to feast upon while enjoying the streets decorated for the celebrations. On the night of Christmas and New Year’s Eve, fireworks will be displayed on most islands.
Most Maldives villas have introduced Christmas-based activities, menus, and offers to the residents and non-residents who will visit in December. VARU by Atmosphere, one of the most popular resorts on the island has decorated their property with the most delightful settings and expects a large crowd to visit them this season in order to celebrate Christmas with them.
