Thailand Offers Easy Entry Sans Restrictions – Destination Promotions Also Launched

Making it easier than ever for travellers to visit Thailand this holiday season, the country removed all its remaining pandemic regulations for arriving tourists with effect from 1st October 2022. The move coincided with the nation reclassifying COVID-19 as a “communicable disease under surveillance”. On arrival, travellers no longer must show proof of vaccination or a negative ATK test result and can look to visit their favourite destinations and stay at a luxury hotel. Koh Samui continues to be a top choice for holidays with beach properties like Santiburi Koh Samui providing safe stays and captivating island experiences.

To further draw visitors, the country also launched several new destination promotion campaigns recently which came into the spotlight at the World Travel Market held in London from 7th to 9th November 2022. Amongst the highlights was the “Visit Thailand Year 2022-2023: Amazing New Chapters” campaign, while a focus was put on sustainable initiatives and inclusive tourism as well. Also of note was the winter marketing promotion called “Always Warm” targeting those looking to escape the winter cold and enjoy Thailand’s year-round tropical sunshine and warm hospitality.
