Considered the country’s largest event for the hospitality industry, Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives or FHAM was successfully held yet again. The event ran from 15th to 17th July 2019 and was hosted at Dharubaaruge in the capital, Male. FHAM featured some of the leading names in the hospitality industry as well as local and international suppliers who got the chance to showcase the latest products and services. It also attracted a vast number of those connected with the local hospitality industry be it from hotels, resorts, guesthouses, restaurants or tour operators.
Such events will no doubt enhance the tourism sector as travellers continue to arrive to experience everything from private island resorts such as Adaaran Prestige Water Villas to a stay at a Maldives water villa. The FHAM International Culinary Challenge which attracted over 500 chefs was also held during this time, along with other concurrent events including the Mocktail Competition, Barista Competition and Housekeeping Competition.
