FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar Next Month – A Global Celebration of Football

The much-anticipated FIFA World Cup 2022 is all set to launch next month in Qatar which will mark the first time this globally popular football tournament will be held in the Middle East. 32 countries will take part in this sporting event which is held once every four years. The opening game on 20th November 2022 will see the hosts Qatar taking on Ecuador while group stage matches will continue till 2nd December; this will be followed by the round of 16, quarterfinals and semi-finals before the grand final on 18th December 2022 which is also the National Day of Qatar.

A key feature of the FIFA World Cup 2022 is that the eight stadiums in use are not too far from each other giving fans a chance to potentially watch two games per day. Those planning on cheering their favourite side in the tournament can look to be based at some of the best hotels in Doha that are within easy reach of the stadiums. Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli is amongst the options to consider which offers access to these football venues including the stunning Lusail Stadium which will host the finals.
