Thailand Remains One of the Most Sought-After Tourist Destinations

As many lodgings like Avani+ Samui Resort welcomed a record-breaking number of tourists to their shelters, most travellers were drawn to spending their much-awaited vacations in a resort Koh Samui or Phuket, as the two made their way up to the list of Best Islands in Southeast Asia in 2022 by Travel+Leisure. Friendly weather, warm smiles and spicy food have been some of the major contributing factors to the uphill climb in Thailand’s tourism sector, along with relaxed COVID-19 restrictions that allow tourists to enter the country without hassle.

The country’s people were delighted with the achievement and new-found knowledge that it is still considered a highly sought-after tourism destination, loved by many around the world. Other Thai cities and islands included in the prestigious lists were Chiang Mai at number 6 and Bangkok at number 1 (top cities), and Koh Phi Phi at number 9 (top islands).
