Providing a boost for tourism, Etihad Airways recently announced that it will be extending its flights between Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Zanzibar. This connection that was launched on 17th June 2022 was originally set to continue till 18th September 2022 before the decision was taken to extend the period till 14th January 2023. The flights on an Airbus A320 aircraft currently operate three times a week between the two destinations, though, after 26th November 2022, an additional flight will be included in time for the holiday season.
The UAE’s second-largest airline, Etihad Airways provides a convenient connection to this popular tourist destination with ideal accommodation providers like The Residence Zanzibar where travellers can enjoy a stay at luxury beach villas; Zanzibar offers plenty to experience too including pristine beaches, ocean adventures and attractions such as Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Jozani Forest Reserve home to the rare red colobus monkey.
