A group of prominent Indian media professionals were invited to visit Sri Lanka from the 3rd of July to the 11th of July as part of the Visiting Journalists & Blogger Programs of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau in order to rediscover the historical ties between India and Sri Lanka.
There were eight media representatives from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, among other important Indian states and towns. The visitors spoke highly of the variety of activities and experiences on offer by Sri Lankan resorts and hotels such as Habarana Village by Cinnamon as well as the ease of transactions due to the currency variance.
