Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives Takes Place – International Culinary Challenge Also Held

Last month saw the highly anticipated Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge being successfully held. Organised by Dhivehi Expo Services, the event took place from 8th to 10th May 2023 at Central Park in Hulhumalé and attracted exhibitors and other participants from around the world; it had over 110 stalls with more than 50 companies in attendance and apart from showcasing a range of services and products, it offered insights into trends and innovations in the tourism sector too.

Billed as the premier international hospitality trade fair in Maldives, FHAM, also featured the International Culinary Challenge with over 500 chefs taking part; endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies and organised in partnership with the Chef Guilds of Lanka and Chef Guilds of Maldives, this event had live and static classes as well. Additionally, barista, mocktail and housekeeping competitions were held concurrently during FHAM too. This trade fair showcased the importance of the hospitality industry in the country which is known for its many luxury hotels; Maldives continues to be a key allure for tourists looking to enjoy idyllic getaways at private island properties like The Nautilus Maldives which offer diverse dining options too.
