Foreign Investment Potential Grows for Properties in Sri Lanka – Positive Economic Progress

With the progress of development initiatives in the country, Sri Lanka is seeing an increased potential for foreign investors. In a January article published in local newspaper, the Sunday Observer, further focus was given to the fact that on the island’s southern coast, property prices have seen an upward trend as well; this is especially true when taking the last three years into account. With Lonely Planet recently also naming Sri Lanka as the best country to travel to in 2019, the island’s popularity as a tourist destination is bound to increase creating more opportunities for foreign investment.

The country’s development drive is also clearly visible in the commercial capital, Colombo. From lavish retail centres and hotels to luxury apartments in Colombo including the up and coming TRI-ZEN apartment complex, the city landscape is ever-changing; this surge in property development will, in turn, lead to new investment opportunities as well.
