Free Wi-Fi Now on Offer from Malaysia Airlines – Service Currently for Select Passengers

Adding to its allure for travellers, Malaysia Airlines launched an initiative on 1st July 2023 whereby select passenger categories are offered free Wi-Fi during flights. Currently, this service is featured on approximately 20 flights and is available for those in business class or who are Platinum members of the Enrich loyalty programme of the airline. This complimentary offering is part of the first phase of a staged rollout with more aircraft of Malaysia Airlines expected to be equipped with satellite-powered Wi-Fi services in the future.

Presently, those eligible for this service can enjoy a maximum of 100MB of free data per flight with up to 512Kbps of bandwidth. It should be noted that the airline has paid for Wi-Fi packages with different data caps and bandwidth speeds as well. Of course, travellers can additionally look to enjoy free internet access once they land in the capital, Kuala Lumpur depending on the accommodation provider they choose in areas like Bukit Bintang; hotel options here such as the well-placed Travelodge Bukit Bintang feature complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi which is a boon for business and leisure guests alike.
