The Most Fun You Can Have in Thailand: Elephant Polo with Anantara

The annual Riverside King’s Cup Tournament which has been sponsored by Anantara for almost 14 years was held for the first time in a riverside Bangkok hotel. The game consists of two halves during which elephants are swapped out. The game is not fast paced but is exciting and is kept bearing the welfare of the animals in mind. Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort and a few other resorts around are prepared to provide accommodation for the popular event. All the profit made from the projects has been donated to elephant conservation fundraising since its start. During the game the comfort of elephants are taken into consideration and matches stopped if the mahouts feel that they are exhausted or not in the frame of mind to continue.
