George Town Festival 2022 Next Month – Diverse Programmes for All Ages on Offer

The eagerly anticipated George Town Festival 2022 is all set to launch next month in Penang, Malaysia, giving locals and visitors a chance to experience the city’s rich history, heritage and culture. It will run from 9th to 24th July 2022 at various locations and venues across George Town; travellers based at Bukit Mertajam apartments including those on offer at properties like Sky Residence Prai can easily visit this city which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Held under the theme, “A Festival for Everyone”, the event will feature an eclectic array of programmes and performances that highlight dance, theatre, music, visual art, film and more.

One of the programmers will be the George Town Discovery Walk (7th July 2022) which will take participants on a fun 5 km walk to some of the city’s key landmarks and historical attractions. Other highlights include G-Short (9th July 2022) which is a short film festival and a musical theatre production for children called “Oops! Belle the Witch is Gone!” (16th & 17th July 2022). Not to be missed is Mozart at the Mansion (23rd & 24th July 2022) with the Kuala Lumpur City Opera performing music from some of Mozart’s most famed operas at the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion.
