The Global Olympics Committee held the General Assembly this year at Bangkok from 5th to 8th November. The Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports hosted the conference and according to the minister of tourism and sports Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, the event presented a great opportunity to promote the tourism industry of the country. The event was held at the Centara Grand at Central World. The purpose of the conference is to address the concerns related to the Olympics due to be held in 2016 at Reo de Janeiro and to bid for the future Olympics.
The delegates from different countries had the opportunity to visit many cultural sites in Bangkok such as the Wat Mahathat and Wat Phra Si Sanphet.
