Although guests staying in Chiang Rai hotels always were in need of exploring the Golden Triangle in northern Thailand, it was not open for tourists because of cases of drug trafficking reported in this region. Bringing good news to all hotels including Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, those days are gone now, and it has been declared as a safe region to travel once again even for the tourists.

Reaching the Golden Triangle will not take more than 90 minutes from the city of Chiang Rai, and the journey is sure to be entertaining with steep, twisting mountain roads to anyone who takes it. Tourists will find it interesting to meet the villagers who are mostly farmers during their exploratory journeys and will also fall in love with the rustic charm that this region holds.
